Parent-Teacher Association
Yearly membership dues help the PTA cover the required national dues. These dues also help us kickstart our fundraising efforts at the beginning of the year. Members will receive emails from the PTA throughout the year with opportunities to participate in fundraising efforts and activities to support our students and staff. Members are also able to vote at PTA meetings. Non-members are always welcome to attend meetings, participate in fundraisers, concessions and contribute to the PTA.

- Join our monthly zoom meetings
- Participate in Dining Out opportunities (see the Friends of CAHS Facebook page and family ambassador newsletter for details)
- Join the planning committee for the annual fundraising event
- Contribute to hospitality by donating goods and/or time for staff conference night meals (two in the fall, two in the winter) and staff appreciation week in May
- Volunteer for a PTA position (see below)

We are a community of parent and caregiver volunteers working to provide support to CAHS students, staff and parents to enrich the high school experience for ALL at CAHS.
Our Purpose
We fundraise so we can support students and staff by using funds for:
- Tickets to events so all can attend
- Staff meals and treats
- Classroom projects
- Special projects (for instance, auditorium sound system, furniture for student lounge)
- Guest speakers
PTA fundraisers include Kroger community rewards, an “unfundraiser”, donations from caregivers, and one fundraising event held at the school each year.
You can sign up for Kroger community rewards by signing into the Kroger app and when you click on your account, scroll down to "community rewards." Choose "Friends of Cols. Alternative High School PTA" as your organization.
